US to yank Kevin Mitnick's radio license

This Register report covers the FCC’s move to strip Kevin Mitnick of his ham radio license over his criminal record, based on a five-page order questioning his “moral fitness” to hold a license.

Mitnick called the action “another example of them trying to harass me,” while prosecutor Christopher Painter, who had put him behind bars, said in the piece that Mitnick had “never really accepted responsibility for his conduct.” The dispute would be resolved roughly a year later when the FCC ultimately let him keep the license.
