TAP No. 51 - Milo Fonebill Issue: Auto-Combo Red-Blue Boxes

Publishes corrected notes on ‘Milo Fonebill’s’ Auto-Combo Red-Blue Box, a three-section (keyboard, logic, oscillator) tone-generating circuit, with a reader (‘Wizard’) annotating chip substitutions and asking Fonebill to make contact. The bulk of the issue is a remarkably candid editorial from Tom (the editor) recounting TAP’s near-collapse: a four-month mailing-label failure that left issues sitting undelivered, a bounced office rent check paid out of pocket, and serious consideration of shutting the newsletter down at the end of 1977. A mention in High Times magazine brought a wave of new subscribers that temporarily saved TAP, and the editor announces a trial run of monthly (rather than irregular) publication contingent on continued reader support.
