Eyeball Eddie

Morgan Miller’s Film Threat review of Eyeball Eddie, Elizabeth Allen’s entry at that year’s Slamdance Film Festival, singles out M. Emmet Walsh’s supporting performance as Eddie’s coach, Cliff Cook, for praise, quoting his line: “You may have an eye made of glass, but let me tell you something, you’ve got balls made of brass.” The review’s overall verdict is more mixed, calling the film “a clichéd, predictable dark comedy” that doesn’t move past a familiar story about the sacrifices people make for popularity.
