Nexspace Unveils Next Wave in Flexible Office Solutions for High-Growth Companies

This press release announces the November 27, 2000 opening of Nexspace’s first facility, an 18,000-square-foot “fractional office” space in the newly renovated Westwood Center, part of an alliance with Arden Realty’s Flexspace program. It states directly that “real estate financier David Agger and technologist Alex Kasper co-founded Nexspace in 1999 and the company’s first facility opened in Los Angeles in November 2000,” identifying Agger as “co-founder and CEO” and Kasper as “co-founder and Chief Technology Officer.”

Kasper is quoted on the network infrastructure: “The pre-wired, plug-and-play nature of the Nexspace network allows our client companies to bypass the technology bottlenecks that plague many businesses.” The release also describes the facility’s technology infrastructure (T-3 connectivity, private VLANs, an on-site server farm) and business support services (recruiting, legal, finance, public relations, accounting, payroll, human resources, and technology), and notes the facility can accommodate up to 39 companies.

A later capture of the same material, republished on Nexspace’s site as a standing “Company Backgrounder” (accessed here via a December 2005 archive), adds a “Location and Contact Information” block giving the address as 1100 Glendon Ave., 17th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90024.
