Alex Kasper Launches Official Website Ahead of DEF CON 34

Deception researcher and former hacker Alex Kasper today launched AlexKasper.com, his official website, timed to coincide with DEF CON 34.

The site opens with a first look at Kasper’s forthcoming book, Manufactured Urgency: Craft of the Bad-Faith Actor. Readers may join the mailing list to be notified when the book is released.

The site also consolidates Kasper’s archival projects, including the Kevin Mitnick News Archive, a collection of published material documenting the career of Kasper’s longtime friend and Defensive Thinking co-founder Kevin Mitnick; the TAP Archive, a digitized run of the original phone-phreaking and hacking newsletter published between 1971 and 1984; and project pages for two of Kasper’s earlier productions, the 3DO video game Return Fire and the USC short film Eyeball Eddie.
