Barkley Court Reporters

Barkley Court Reporters, Inc. was a Los Angeles–based court-reporting and litigation-support firm, incorporated in California in 1972.1 By the late 2010s it described itself as one of the largest privately held court reporting companies in the U.S. and the first government-certified green court reporting service in the country, with offices across California, New York, Illinois, and Nevada as well as Paris, Hong Kong, and Dubai, and clients including the Golden Globes, the Emmy Awards, and the Television Critics Association.2

Alex Kasper served as vice president of technology there, working on digitally and electronically signed transcripts and speaking to the profession about the subject, including a presentation at the 2008 NCRA convention.3

Barkley Court Reporters merged into Magna Legal Services in October 2022, with its court reporting and related services folded into Magna’s broader litigation-support platform.4
